Increased engagement with International Towers tenants
Increased engagement with the Barangaroo community
Showcased local and international artists
“International Towers is very excited to be working with Darabase because it brings art to the community and art always adds such a great dimension to space and people. I think the Darabase project will see us recognised as a leading community space in the public’s eye. With the Darabase technology, I think there’s so many amazing opportunities we can look at in difference places within the precinct – each of those opportunities is founded in connecting the community together and being open to the public.”

Darabase for ARTFRESCO International Towers
Background
International Towers in Sydney is Australia’s most progressive workspace and one of the South Hemisphere’s most sustainable precincts. Lendlease wanted to create an experience to increase the sense of place around the towers and add a cultural element to the community, while welcoming back visitors post COVID lockdowns.
Solution implemented
Darabase worked with art curator Charles Clapshaw and world famous artists Alex Seton and Robert Fielding to bring their sculptures to life in large-scale AR situated in the open spaces around the towers. The ARTFRESCO experience contains an interactive digital map to help users locate the art around International Towers and read information about the artists.
Outcome delivered
Darabase delivered a unique AR art experience to tenants and visitors at International Towers. The exhibit saw users engaging with the two art pieces on the precinct ground plane, reflecting on the conceptual importance of these contemporary AR sculptures.
