CBRE and Taronga Group, together with local development partner Chapter Group, have announced a landmark partnership to manage Windsor Place, a new technology-enabled A-grade development in Melbourne, Australia. The collaboration goes far beyond a traditional property and facilities management agreement, embedding a structured framework for innovation and technology adoption across the entire lifecycle of the asset.
CBRE and Taronga Group have had a longstanding strategic partnership in identifying and adopting world-leading technologies from around the world, for the Real Asset sector through Taronga Group’s RealTech funds and other technology initiatives.
Windsor Place is now being handed over to tenants and has been designed to deliver a next-generation workplace and wellbeing destination. The entire development has focused on sustainable construction and uses technology solutions to deliver an enhanced tenant experience. The precinct offers cutting-edge office spaces, curated retail, and a revitalised public realm—positioning it as a global benchmark for smart, sustainable, and human-centric real estate.
Through this partnership, CBRE will create a whole-of-asset management model that integrates energy, operations, digital systems, tenant services, and sustainability into one coordinated framework. By leveraging CBRE’s global expertise and Taronga Group’s RealTech ecosystem, the partnership will identify, adopt, and scale innovative technologies that enhance performance and asset-level resilience, while redefining the tenant and visitor experience.
This partnership represents a first of a kind property and facilities management agreement to formally embed a structured technology and innovation framework across the asset life cycle. Together, we will identify, adopt, and scale new technologies that enhance performance, drive operational efficiency, improve sustainability outcomes, and support better tenant experience. This whole-of-asset approach ensures Windsor Place remains ahead of industry trends and defines the future of work.
Jonathan Hannam, Managing Director at Taronga Group
At CBRE, we see this partnership as more than a traditional property and facilities management agreement—it’s redefining innovation management at the asset level. We’re proud to be working with forward-thinking partners who share our vision of a smarter, more resilient asset, and believe this model has the potential to set a new benchmark across the industry.
Natalie Slessor, Executive Managing Director Property Management (Pacific) at CBRE
Windsor Place represents a new chapter in workplace design, where tenants are central, wellness and sustainability drive attendance back to the office, and technology connects business success with community benefit.
