““By adopting the Enertainer for our project, we managed to achieve significant reduction in carbon emissions. Due to the lack of direct grid power to the site, we employed a hybrid solution consisting of 2 Enertainers; recharged by smaller diesel generators rather than having to employ 3 large diesel generators. The power produced was stable and reliable. The operation of the Enertainer was also fuss-free and required minimal maintenance throughout the project duration.”

Background
WINT Water Intelligence delivered a flagship project at the W The Palm Residences in Dubai, part of the Marriott Hotels & Resorts international brand, located on the water scarce gulf coast where water preservation is a high priority.
The challenge
The construction site needed to power three large tower cranes and mast climbers, but without direct grid access, it had to primarily rely on two 350 kVA and one 200 kVA conventional diesel generators. This dependency led to various issues, including high carbon emissions, frequent maintenance of the diesel generators, and additional noise pollution and traffic congestion from refueling vehicles. With ESG being a top priority for ESR, these were not ideal.
Solution implemented
WINT is an advanced water management solution for the real assets industry using intelligent real-time monitoring. The AI-Powered system analyses water flows and can detect anomalies like leaks and burst pipes, automatically shutting off the water flow to mitigate and reduce the risk of water damage. In addition, the solution also reduces water consumption, water wastage and the carbon emissions associated with water’s delivery from utilities.
The WINT systems were installed in 104 apartments with a further 34 installations in common areas including kitchens and swimming pools.
Outcome delivered
WINT detected multiple leaks in the first two months of deployment, preventing significant damage to high end residences. These initial leaks alone were calculated to save up to 9 million litres of water per year, reducing carbon emissions by 130 tons and saving $25,000 per year. In another incident, WINT detected a leak in a water heater hose in an unoccupied apartment and prevented damage in hundreds of thousands of dollars just to the apartment itself.
WINT is also commonly installed in projects from the construction phase, which is especially susceptible to water damage with over 30% of losses on builder’s risk insurance policies caused by leaks. Installation of WINT in construction projects in the GCC can prevent damage and associated delays, potentially lower insurance premiums and deductible costs and ensure water-proofed and water-sustainable buildings for the future.
About WINT Water Intelligence
WINT systems monitor and manage water flows in physical assets using intelligent real-time monitoring. The system can detect anomalies and intervene in real time to reduce the risk of water damage, reduce water consumption and cut associated carbon emissions.
