Australian Financial Review reporter Nila Sweeney headlined Taronga Ventures in AFR article ‘Dexus Partners with Taronga Ventures to Launch Prop-Tech Program’.

As announced, “Real estate group Dexus is partnering with Taronga Ventures to launch a prop-tech incubator program that will help tech businesses scale up across Australia and Asia.

Dexus will be the founding real estate corporate partner for Taronga Ventures’ RealTechX Growth Program and joins other investors including Microsoft, Google and IBM, UNSW and CSIRO.”

Sweeney outlined the RealTechX growth program, “RealTechX is Asia’s first government supported scale-up program that will bring together up to 10 market-ready technology businesses along with up to 20 established firms, and the market access and capital of Taronga Ventures according to Jonathan Hannam, managing partner at Taronga Ventures.

The program selects participants for their ability to solve problems and capture opportunities for their corporate partners.

The chosen businesses will get direct investment so they can capitalise on customer connections that arise through RealTechX, while corporate partners gain first access to emerging solutions that provide them with a competitive advantage.”

One of Taronga Ventures’ founders Jonathan Hannam was also quoted when addressing the RealTechX program, ‘”Our aim with RealTechX is to fast-track RealTech growth businesses domestically and help them to expand across Australia and Asia with strong local operating partners,” Mr Hannam said.’
